Cosmetic Teeth Whitening

Having a brighter, whiter smile can improve self-confidence and give yourself a real boost.

It’s safe, quick, and inexpensive and works without altering the existing tooth structure or existing dental work. You can lighten only your upper teeth or both the upper and lower, depending on how much you show when you talk and smile.

The first stage of the treatment involves taking an impression in order to custom make a set of trays – very similar to a mouth guard, albeit of a thinner material which fit closely in your mouth.  We then provide you with a special bleaching agent that you put into the clear trays. Usually worn overnight or for 3-4 hours each day over a two week period

You will begin to notice a difference in a matter of days. When your teeth reach the desired brightness, only occasional treatment is needed to maintain your new smile.

Some patients experience sensitivity during treatment, but by using a toothpaste for sensitivity this will reduce, and once treatment is completed the sensitivity will return to normal.

Dental bleaching can be used to correct tooth discolouration. Discolouration can be caused by staining, ageing, or chemical damage to teeth. Using the latest in bleaching technology, we can offer a safe method for creating a beautiful “brilliant” smile.

In cases of extreme tooth discolouration, crowns or veneers may be the only choice.
